MELBOURNE: Pilates Mat Level 1 teacher training - Weekdays intensive

2014 COURSE DATES:
- Pilates Mat Level 1 teacher training (200hr) – Weekends
- Course dates: 31st June – 10th August 2014
- Lectures: 10 weekends, Saturday & Sunday 11:30am – 5:00pm
Participation: 40 scheduled classes at the Mermaid Beach studio
Observation: 8 classes
Course Cost: $3950 (Payment plan option available, $500 admin fee will apply).

- Breathe Bend Blossom – Michelle Merrifield (1,000 word book report)
Combine with the Pilates Teacher Training with the Yoga Teacher Training to receive a $1000 discount of combine total.
Develop the skills and knowledge to become a capable and dynamic Pilates instructor. Our course is designed in line with the Australian Government Certificate IV in Fitness. We offer our students the highest standards for their future success in the industry.

Group Pilates Training
- Develop a broad knowledge of pilates exercises and adjustments
- Instruct core, back, legs, buttocks, arm strengthening exercises
- Apply safe sequencing, teaching method, adjustments and assists for core, back, legs, buttocks, arm strengthening exercises
- Instruct and monitor pilates programs
- Plan and deliver group pilates sessions
- Deliver approved community pilates programs
Anatomy and Physiology

Apply anatomy and physiology principles in a pilates context
Exercise Programming
- Plan and deliver pilates programs
- Plan and deliver an endurance athlete pilates program
- Undertake long term pilates programming
- Apply exercise science principles to planning pilates exercise
- Plan and deliver personal pilates training
Special Populations
- Develop and apply an awareness of specific populations to pilates delivery
- Plan and deliver pilates to older clients with managed conditions
- Work collaboratively with medical and allied health professionals
- Interact effectively with children
- Plan and deliver exercise to apparently healthy children and adolescents
Equipment use
- Maintain pilates equipment for activities
