Why do you come to Essence of Living: I first came to Essence to improve my strength and flexibility for surfing, but I keep coming back because I always walk out of a class feeling amazing.
How long have you been practising: I’ve practiced yoga and pilates on and off for about a year, and came to Essence six months ago. It was the best decision I have ever made!
How often do you practise: I usually attend yoga three times a week, pilates twice a week, and if the surf is flat, I try to attend as much as possible!
Benefits of your practice: Psychologically, I feel like a happier, healthier person. My practice has improved all aspects of my surfing. Balance, strength and flexibility and even using the yoga breathe to shake the nerves before a competition!
