Carly’s diverse background gives her a unique edge as a yoga instructor, with education and experience in numerous specialties related to health, fitness, sport, and medicine, as well as in creative and performance arts.

Whichever avenue she walks, her focus and passion is to spread positivity, connect with others, and share the gift of wellness to those around her.

Born in Sydney, raised in the U.S., Carly is now back in the land down under for a second degree in Exercise Science at Bond University in Queensland, working toward a Doctorate of Physiotherapy. After hearing about the quality of teachers and fantastic energy at Essence of Living, Carly began her regular practice there and quickly found a new yoga home and family. Shortly after, Carly obtained her Level 1 – 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training qualification, as well as a Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness with an emphasis in Yoga, all under the vibrant, knowledgeable, and supportive direction of Michelle Merrifield at Essence of Living.

Yoga has provided the ultimate balance for all of Carly’s passions. Living it up on sunny Gold Coast, she is currently recording an album, studying anatomy & physiology, dancing to the beat of her own drum machine, cartwheeling down sidewalks, and occasionally hoping to sneak in a little surf when the waves are good.

With a surprising wealth of life experience relevant to the practice of Yoga, Carly has something special to share with and offer everyone (even if its just a giggle and a sweat during a rockin’ Vinyasa).
